Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager will manage all HR operations and functions at MI Americas. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and the Head of Finance & Operations to align HR practices with overall business goals and will supervise and provide guidance to the HR and Office Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee HR strategies and policies in coordination with the Executive Director.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate selection, and onboarding of new employees.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws. Oversee preparation and submission of required reports.
- Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, benefits administration, and employee rewards programs.
- Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Implement and manage performance appraisal processes, providing guidance to supervisors and employees.
- Provide guidance and support to the HR and Office Coordinator, ensuring growth and development within the organization.
- Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal HR standard operating procedures, tools, and templates.
- Provide guidance and support to MIA HR teams in project locations, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Work closely with the Executive Director and the Head of Finance & Operations on budgeting, staffing levels, and strategic HR initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- HR certification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the HR management life cycle, best practices, employment laws, and regulations (federal, state, and local).
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Experience with recruitment and talent management processes, including onboarding and performance management.
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits administration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity in handling confidential information.
- Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools is a plus.
